Our Impact

As youths with a voice, we believe strongly that through collaborations, we can advocate for increased youth participation in blood drives and contribute meaningfully to the health sector through blood drives to reduce maternal and infant mortality. We launched ‘LOVE AND PINT’ on the 28th of July, 2018 at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island and raised 242 pints of blood to support children living with sickle cell and cancer.

In 2019, we scaled up to raise 1000 pints of blood to support mothers during and after delivery to reduce maternal and infant mortality.

Also, we featured a wide range of holistic care providers, sales exhibitions, games, food, music, art, drinks and more.

Our Why

Nigeria still battles with a shortage of voluntary blood donors. With less than 10 per cent of Nigerians donating blood voluntarily, the country is seriously battling the scarcity of blood, resulting in the deaths of citizens living with certain diseases' like sickle cell, cancer, severe anaemia, and bleeding disorders during pregnancy to mention but a few.

The World Health Organization, WHO insists that 1 per cent of blood donation by 1 per cent of the population, can meet a nation’s most basic requirements for blood.
